The founders of Pittsburgh-based LeftRight Studios, a mobile game developer, are celebrating the quick, but not altogether unexpected, success of their iPhone game smackBOTS…Based on the classic game Rock’em Sock’em Robots, smackBOTS takes the robot boxing ring digital. The game was released over the summer, around the time the small studio started, and now sits in the No. 92 spot for top free application downloads. It is No. 42 on the top free games list, No. 16 among top free action games and No. 2 among top free kids games. According to Apple, the App Store has 100,000 applications available.

At the Apple WWDC 2009, our very own Director of Business Development (now CEO) Geraldine was spotted “smackbotting” with Steve Wozniak, Apple cofounder and Dancing with the Stars Celebrity Dancer.
