Interview From Tribune Review

South Side-based startup application design company LeftRight Studios was founded 10 months ago to develop applications and games for the Apple iPhone and iTouch…primary products, the games smackBots and KatchUp, work on the iPad.

LeftRight is a portfolio company of Innovation Works, the state-funded organization that helps young Western Pennsylvania companies get on their feet with direct investment and hands-on support.

“We will be developing some iPad-specific applications, that will offer higher resolution for the larger format,” said LeftRight’s CEO, Geraldine Yong.

Picture 20Picture 21Geraldine Yong and Khang Toh will be at the Apple store Saturday to pick up the iPad they ordered in March. The two are excited to finally get their hands on the new toy but also for the possibilities that the new gadget represents for their small mobile application design firm…..building its business on developing branded apps and games for the iPhone and iTouch and Saturday’s iPad launch is offering them one more avenue to offer clients to engage with consumers.

“It opens up a broader horizon for us,” said Yong the studio’s CEO. “The iPad is more than just a phone and gaming device.”

So we are not the only ones who will be anxiously waiting to get our beloved iPad tomorrow. I have never felt so much anxiety (in a good way) and been so excited about anything that is lifeless and obviously cold to the touch. Well, Apple has definitely changed that all for me (and for all of us)!
